     To the delight of former customers and new who used to frequent this little neighbor hood establishment, the doors are back open.  Jones Creek Tavern is the latest chapter in a long history of serving Edgemere. Since the Early 50's when the old house was moved from the front of the lot, and a new one story building was erected, the corner of Lincoln and North Dakota has been the watering hole for many. From Boaters and Waterman, to Mill Workers and Port Workers, the door has always been open for all.

      Now JCT is going back to it's roots, just a neighborly little tavern with great food, great prices, a long Happy Hour and the coldest beer around. This little tavern boasts a draft system you just have to see. It is supposed to be one of only four in the State of Maryland. The Tap is so Cold that Ice literally forms on the draft head. So much so that customers amuse themselves by sticking coinage in the ice. Both Food and Drink are priced just right, you get great food that is truly plentiful and tasty.

     From the kitchen you can get just about anything, from steamed Jumbo Shrimp to Pizza, from Meatball subs to Italian Cold Cuts, from Batter Fried Onion Rings to Deep Fried Stringers, from artery clogging to health conscious food, you can find it all. You can eat in or carry out, just let them know. Split Checks.....NOT a Problem, Beer to Go, Not a problem, just ask for product availability.

     As far as atmosphere, the tavern is very well maintained and cleaned every day, no joke, just come check how clean the restrooms are. With a "Win'em over one at a time outlook" this place should be open for a long time. Definitely worth the drive, and always worth the walk. Car Pool if you can and designate a driver, the parking is at a premium, but we'll find a spot for you if you cant find one.

     Everyone that comes in just keeps coming back. You will always feel welcome. You are free to shoot some pool or just relax on our dock. But remember the law when brining family, underage patrons must be on there way by 9PM and accompanied by a parent or guardian while in the Tavern. ID is a must, and general rowdyness will not be tolerated. (note: see home page)

Always ask about the daily specials, and sometimes something special will be whipped up for you to try.

     The water folk will love this place, it is literally surrounded by water on three sides and within walking distance of many of the 12 or 13 marina's around Old Road Bay. If you are going out on the bay, don't forget to stop by for some food, brew and Ice. More just keeps coming and coming. They are building a little at a time and getting everything right before moving on to the next project. Look for lots of activities this summer and a few surprises in the fall.

     The Grand Opening is slated for the Month of June so keep an eye out and visit this site often for news of the date.
